Suffering

"Hear my prayer, O LORD! Listen to my cries for help! Don't ignore my tears".
Psalm 39:12

A lot of people are suffering deeply right now including our family. Here is a very good blog post from a pastor friend who helps put things in perspective.

Who Am I?

Since 1972, I have lived an life of abundance. No..not financial abundance...but peace-filled abundance. In 1972, I asked Christ to be the guide and director of my life. I have never regretted a day since then. I have continually known deep peace in the midst of tragedy, hope in the midst of loss and joy in the midst of hardship. I have most of all experienced LOVE..the unconditional love and mercy that ONLY the Creator of the Universe can give. I have a deep love for God. I am grateful beyond words for how He has loved me and guided me as I have learned to submit to His direction for my life.

I have been in Christian service full time since 1985. There have been surprises along the way for sure. I have seen Christ work and change so many people's lives when they ask Him to be the boss of their life.

How To Become a Follower of Christ

1.ADMIT- that you have sinned. "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23 NIV)

2. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ can save you. "Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave them the right to become children of God." (John 1:12 NIV)

3. CONFESS-that Christ is Lord of your life. "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus Christ is Lord'..." (Romans 10:9-10 NIV)

Simply ask the Lord to come live in your heart and be the boss of your life. Ask him to free you from the things you have done to hurt Him and others.

Accept by faith that you are forgiven and move forward by doing these things:

1. Pray daily asking Christ for wisdom and direction.

2. Find a Christian church fellowship because you can't do this alone.

3. Read God's Word-the Bible-daily so you can know how to live and deal with what life brings you each day.

4. Tell someone what you have done. Telling others what God does in your life is a testament of who He is.
